PTI on mass LB polls campaign

LAHORE - Various chapters of PTI Punjab have decided to start mass contact campaign for the local polls due in September.
During a training workshop held at Aiwan-i-Iqbal on Saturday, the PTI leaders said that local bodies were the nurseries for the democracy and the party should launch early preparations for the local elections and select suitable candidates on merit basis to grab maximum share in the LB polls.
Prominent among the participants were Ijaz Chaudhary, Dr Atif, Waqar Khan, Shah Nawaz Cheema, Mumtaz Kahloon, Yasir Gilani, Ijaz Ahmed Jazi, Saloni Bokhari, Munazza Hussain, Shabbir Sial, Hamid Zaman, Aslam Iqbal and Sardar Kamil Umer.
They added that all the party leaderships especially of districts should start preparations, during the month of Ramazan, for the training of the polling agents and educate them about Form 14 and 15 and other preparations in an effort to counter any rigging practice.
They claimed that there should be no doubt that PTI would get victory in the upcoming local bodies polls if the party leaders made all the above mentioned preparations well in time.
Meanwhile, Chaudhary Sarwar, recently appointed as party’s coordinator for Punjab, told the journalists that he would make caretaker leaderships in Punjab districts in the first phase.
He added that he would take along all the party members during his journey towards the local bodies’ polls due in September and intra-party polls.
