LAHORE – A most wanted proclaimed offender (PO) has been shot dead in an encounter with the police in the Alipur Chatha police precincts, police said on Sunday.  According to an official handout issued from the Central Police Office, the alleged criminal Zeegham Abbas alias Bagga was wanted to the police in more than 16 cases of heinous crimes. The gangster had become a symbol of terror in Gujranwala district and the local residents heaved a sigh relief after his killing, a police spokesperson said.
