Teenager dies in mishap

LAHORE – A teenager died in a bicycle crash in Factory Area Police precincts, authorities said on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as 12-year-old Abdul Rehman, a resident of Walton Road. Police authorities believed the deceased was going somewhere on his bicycle when a speeding bus smashed him from the rear side, leaving him in a pool of blood. The boy sustained multiple injuries whereas the bus, yet to be identified, managed to flee from the scene.
The injured was taken to the City’s leading public hospital where the doctors pronounced him as dead. The police have registered a case against unidentified driver and handed over the body to the bereaved family after completing necessary medico-legal formalities. Valuables gutted:  Valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in two different incidents on Saturday.
In the first incident, fire broke out in Ashfaq’s home located at Hunjarwal due to short circuiting and reduced the valuables worth thousands of rupees to ashes. Yet in another incident, fire broke out in a house located in Johar Town.
