LAHORE - The curators involved in the preparation of the Karachi wicket were directed to prepare a hard track which wont seam but contrary to the requirement the wicket at the Karachi's National Stadium turned out to be placid and only batting friendly. It has been learnt that the curators raised their hands to get the track ready to the requirement in view of the matches played on the track over the last couple of months. One of the curators on condition of anonymity said that nearly 70 matches were played at the same track and preparing wicket for test requires months to get it ready for the five day game. But over the year matches of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Tournament, Asia Cup, ODI's against Sri Lanka, Quaid Trophy and Pentangular Cup were played leaving no room to get is prepared for the series. However, it has been learnt that the governing body of the Pakistan Cricket Board will grill the curator and the persons involved in the preparation of such a dull track and directions have already been issued for sporting wicket for the second test match at the Gaddafi Stadium.
