LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar at Governor’s House on Monday Development projects and welfare programmes for the people of the province were discussed in the meeting. Talking to the Governor, the chief minister said that Punjab government had diverted funds towards welfare and betterment of the masses and uplift projects worth billions of rupees were being executed in the province expeditiously and in a transparent manner. He said that backward areas were being paid special attention in this regard. Shahbaz said that every effort will be made to make Punjab a model province. He said that government was implementing revolutionary programmes for the empowerment of the youth. Referring to his recent visit to China, Shahbaz Sharif said that it had produced highly encouraging results and Chinese leadership and officials of various companies during meetings with President Mamnoon Hussain and him had assured investment in energy as well as other sectors.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
