LAHORE - PML-N has accorded rousing welcome to deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on his arrival at Allama Iqbal Air Port amid tight security. The Punjab government rendered an official protocol to Justice Iftikhar. PML-N Punjab president Sardar Zulfiar Ali Khosa, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah, Hamza Shahbaz along with thousands of political workers of different political parties and lawyers received the deposed Justice with thunderous slogans for the restoration of judges. Though PML-N workers outnumbered others, activists of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Jamaat-e-Islami and Khaksar Tehreek also showed good strength at the reception. The Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel resorted to baton charge when workers of PML (N) and Tehreek-e-Insaaf tried to enter the lounge to see the glimpse of Justice Iftikhar. Jubilant gathering cheered Justice Iftikhar when he came out of the airport premises and made full-throated slogans. They demanded the government to restore the hero of judges along with other deposed judges forthwith. Justice Iftikhar waved hands responding to the enthusiastic crowd. When the caravan started its journey from the airport Justice Iftikhar boarded a bulletproof car provided by the Punjab government. The PML-N had set up eight reception camps for the caravan. After the caravan reached at first camp established near Jorey Pul headed by PML-N MPA Haji Nadeem Anjum, the party workers showered flower petals on the participants of caravan. Fire works were also displayed at different spots. Yaseen Sohal along with other workers welcomed the caravan at Rahat Bakery. Sheikh Rohil Asghar, Sardar Iyaz Sadiq and Hafiq Noaman received the caravan at the camps of Gymkhana, Canal Bridge and Governor House respectively. PML-N Youth Wing president Ghulam Hussain Shahid gave overwhelming reception to the caravan near CM Secretariat. The central camp established at Faisal Chowk headed by PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz, Bilal Yaseen and Ajasam Sharif welcomed the caravan. PML-N Lahore president Mian Marghoob Ahmed and Mian Shujaur Rehman received the caravan at Regal Chowk. There was massive display of multi-coloured banners at The Mall. A good number of steamers bearing the pictures of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Justice Chaudhry were hanged on either side of the road. Big portraits of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary and Nawaz Sharif were also installed near the PML-N camps. The caravan continued to grow with inclusion of various PML-N groups headed by the party leaders. Small groups of labour wings, culture wing, women wing, minority wing and oversees wing joined the caravan during the journey to the LHC building. PML-N media conveners Khawaja Imran Nazir and Imran Goraya, remained with the caravan from the airport to the LHC and kept on passing party instructions to workers to make it a momentous show.
