PTI slams govt for not consulting parties on operation

LAHORE  - PTI Punjab chapter has criticised the Federal government’s decision for selective action against anti-dialogue Taliban and for not consulting the issue with other political parties.
“National security is not given due attention. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to start action against anti-talks militant groups has confused the nation further as even the top leadership of parties was not taken into confidence”, PTI Punjab President, Ejaz Chaudhry sated.
During a meeting of PTI Punjab chapter office bearers on Friday, the PTI Punjab chapter President said core decisions regarding sensitive issues of national security are being taken without developing consensus.  MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz, MPA Sheikh Khurram Shahzad, Vice President Punjab Chaudhry Ishfaq, Faizullah Khamokha, Sobia Kamal, Rana Raheel Minhas, Malik Zahid, Malik Waheed Akbar, Amir Majeed attended the meeting which was held at the provincial secretariat.
While quoting Maulana Sami-ul-Haq statement for government’s non-seriousness in pursuing talks with Taliban, Ejaz Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had taken a u-turn on the issue despite All Parties Conference (APC) gave him mandate to hold negotiations.
“Government stubbornness has brought fourth devastating security situation in the country, and consequently, the economic crisis is worsening further’, he stressed.
“All stakeholders authorised the government to start peace negotiations process which was not implemented despite lapse of eight months”, he said demanding that the government should evolve nation-wide consensus over the recent decision of starting selective action.
He demanded that the issue must be discussed in Parliament so the whole leadership could be taken into confidence as well.
Andleeb Abbas on this occasion also passed a resolution against the continuous violence over minor house maids as another similar incident of violence had occurred in Lahore. Later, while addressing the officer bearers and party workers from Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh districts, Ejaz asked them to be prepared to contest LG elections.
PTI will put pressure on Punjab government for holding LG elections right after holding polls in KPK, he said.
