Easter gifts distributed among Joseph Colony kids

LAHORE:  Interfaith League Against Poverty (I-LAP) Peace Youth Club members distributed Easter gifts among over 500 Christian children of Joseph Colony here Sunday. The children were given "Shoe Boxes" filled with Easter Gifts, with a concept to utilise these boxes as containers for carrying the gifts including colouring books and pencils, other stationery items, candies, crisps, biscuits and other items.
On this occasion, the I-LAP Chairman Sajid Ishaq said that youth should pay special attention to their education so that they could help in building Pakistan according to the vision of the Quaid Mohammad Ali Jinnah. He urged the children to learn about civic education and be aware of their rights and duties to become exemplary citizens of Pakistan.
The I-LAP Executive Director Nazia Ansari wished the participants a Happy Easter and said the motto of I-LAP Peace Youth Club was "Sharing is Caring", and the gifts were being presented to the children of Joseph Colony to share the spirit of Easter to make their Christian brothern happy and smiling.
She asked the children to be kind to others and respect their elders and not to be depressed by the unfortunate incident but to make it their strength to create even better lifestyle than before because God helps those who help themselves.
