LAHORE : Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday said that his party would stage peaceful sit-ins in the country on May 11. Addressing a workers convention here at Model Town, he said that the sit-ins were aimed at recording protest against the electoral elections and no one would be stopped from casting vote.
He claimed the PAT's public meeting of December 23, long march and Liaqatabad's meeting had proved that the party was struggling for rights of the people.
President of Federal Council Tehrik Minhajul Quran Dr Hussain Muhyuddin Qadir, president Pakistan Awami Tehrik Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Sheikh Zahid Fayaz, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Irshad Tahir and others were also present.
