PM skips passing out parade

LAHORE - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday could not attend the passing out ceremony of the first-batch of the Dolphin Force held at the Chuhng police training college.
According to the invitation card, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the chief guest of the passing out ceremony but he could not attend the parade because of “some official engagements”.
Police yesterday made extraordinary security arrangements for the passing out ceremony with massive deployment and security sweep in the entire vicinity. Hundreds of police commandoes were on guard on the route of the PM but they were informed at the eleventh hour that PM was not coming to attend the ceremony.
A govt official said the PM was busy in some official meetings related to the visit of the Iranian President to Pakistan.
