LAHORE-The PPP leader and Senior Minister in Punjab cabinet, Raja Riaz on Wednesday reiterated his party's stance that PPP may review its decision to sit in Punjab Government if the PML-N did not give its due share of power. Briefing newsmen after a meeting of party's parliamentary committee here, he said that PPP entered into dialogue with the PML-N after an assurance from the Punjab Chief Minister that PPP would be given its share of power in Punjab on the basis of 40-60 formula. Raja Riaz, who was accompanied by other PPP ministers including Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Haji Ehsan-ud-Din Qureshi and Yousaf Ghurki, further said that PPP may review its decision to remain part of Punjab Government if the PML-N fails to translate its pledges into reality. "We will continue to support the PML-N government in Punjab as long as we are getting our share in the province", he maintained. He told reporters that party MPA's have been directed to visit CM secretariat and even offices of PML-N ministers to get the problems of their electorate resolved. Raja said he had taken PPP legislators into confidence about his recent contacts with the PML-N leadership. He said negotiations with PML-N leadership would continue till resolution of all contentious issues. When asked about time frame for conclusion of talks, he hoped that negotiations would yield positive results after Eid, as Punjab CM was leaving for Saudi Arabia to perform Umra on Thursday (today), and till then, no further progress could be made on this count. He said all issues including those of PPP's share in cabinet, its say in matters of transfers and postings of senior officers and allocation of development funds had been placed before the PML-N, and his party was now waiting for practical steps in this regard. The issue of getting the portfolios of Health and Communications for the PPP had also been raised with the PML-N leaders, he added. Replying to a question, he said that PPP had, in a message sent to Punjab CM, shown its willingness to quit Punjab Government, but the CM replied that he wanted the coalition with PPP to continue. Responding to a question, he said neither his party had any complaints against Punjab chief secretary, nor the issues of replacement of Punjab Governor was discussed in the first round of talks with PML-N leadership.
