LHC moved to ban Indian movies

LAHORE: An application seeking ban on exhibition of Indian movies in local cinemas was filed in the Lahore High Court yesterday, in the backdrop of Indian propaganda over Uri attack to divert world’s attention from atrocities in held-Kashmir.

Ishtiaq Ch moved the application in an already pending petition against Indian movies’ exhibition in Pakistani cinemas.

The lawyer-petitioner said that India wanted war with Pakistan and it had created panic in the entire region.

The whole region of the South Asia is under panic of war due to India’s war obsession, said the petitioner. After provocative statements from Indian leadership, there is no justification of exhibition of Indian movies in Pakistani cinemas, he added.

On diplomatic front, the Indian authorities have announced to isolate Pakistan but Indian movies are being shown in local cinemas, he maintained in his application.

Ishtiaq requested the court to order the authorities concerned to ban exhibition of Indian movies in Pakistan.–Staff Reporter
