LAHORE - FIA Immigration authorities have been made empowered to extend the validity of visa, passport and national identity cards for overseas Pakistanis of any over stayed passenger, said an officer of Immigration deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) on Monday. He said: “Now we will be able to extend the visa or above said documents on the spot.” He said that only Indian passenger would not be entertained in this regard. Passengers would be entitled to get their documents extended within expiry of two months. FIA immigration would be authorised to received prescribe dues in this regard and later on to submit the same in bank. Immigration officer said that there were 80 to 90 such passengers every month who reported airport for travelling but their above said documents were expired.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
