OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE National Highways & Motorway Police N-5 Central Zone have started a special anti-encroachment campaign on national highway from provincial capital to Rahim Yar Khan in collaboration with the National Highway Authority and local police. NH&MP DIG Fateh Sher Joyia said that the encroachments were a matter of grave concern as they bring hurdles in smooth flow of traffic and also cause many accidents. All the sector commanders were asked to take personal interest in the campaign to ensure maximum output from it. He further directed to develop a close liaison with other agencies like NHA and district police for the smooth working of whole process. Before that people were asked to voluntarily remove encroachments from national highway within a week. Now after the expiry of grace period, a comprehensive campaign has been launched to make the national highway encroachment free and facilitate the road users by providing them better driving conditions.
