LAHORE –Member of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Brig (r) Zafar Iqbal Ch died on Wednesday. He was 87.
His funeral prayer will be offered at Madr-e-Millat Park adjacent to Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehrik-i-Pakistan at 11am on Sunday (today). Born in Sialkot, he worked for the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust after his retirement. He was awarded with Pakistan Movement Gold Medal for his role in the struggle for establishment of Pakistan.
Brig Zafar was one of the noted Pakistan Movement workers. He attended Pakistan Conference at Lahore in 1940 that was presided over by the Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He became general secretary of MSF Gujranwala and remained member of MSF and was elected member of All India Muslim Students Federation in 1945. Quaid-i-Azam awarded him with a prize at a Summer School Training camp. He visited different districts and villages during the Pakistan movement campaign especially in districts Sargodha and Sialkot. He also worked against Khizar Sialkot. He also served in the migrant camps. He was one of the Pakistan Movement workers who were enrolled in Public Relations Department by the Government of Pakistan.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif also conveyed his condolence and prayed for the departed soul. Visit: Students of The Citizen Foundation School Kahna Nau on Wednesday visited the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan to attend Aghi programme of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT). They also visited the Pakistan Movement Gallery on the occasion.
Also, mobile ideological units led by their coordinators visited four schools and colleges in the city. The institutions include Farooq Azam Taleemul Quran Multan Road, Umar School System Sodiwal, Jamia Qadria Faizul Quran, Baghbanpura, Jamia Masjid Amn Baghbanpura, Ismail Shaheed Model Girls School Raiwind Road, Government Boys Middle School Raiwind, Jamia Naeemul Quran Shahdara and Jamia Naeemul Quran Begum Kot respectively.
The institution heads presided over the ceremonies in the said institutions. In their lectures, they lauded the NPT’s role in disseminating the Two Nation Theory to the new generation.
