LAHORE - The wedding of Meharun Nisa, granddaughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, with Raheel Munir was held here yesterday.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and other members of the family sent Mahar with Raheel with prayers and wishes of happy marital life.
Around 1500 guests attended the marriage who were served with one-dish of desi chicken qorma, biryani with petha halva in dinner. The ceremony held within the premises of the house concluded within the stipulated time10pm.
Nikkah of Maharun Nisa, the daughter of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with Raheel was held at Khana Kaaba, Makkah six months ago. Yesterday departure took place. The couple will reside in a newly two-kanal bungalow at Upper Mall.
