Dutiful officers real asset of department: IGP


LAHORE – Punjab Police Inspector General said that only devoted, dedicated and dutiful police officers are the real asset of the department and all possible steps will be adopted for their welfare.
IG Punjab Haji Habib ur Rehman expressed these views while addressing to a police darbar held at the office of DPO Pakpattan on Sunday. He said that policing is a noble profession and only by serving the people the image of the police could be enhanced. He further said that the gap between the public and police could be bridged by providing immediate relief to the complainants. Acting RPO Sahiwal Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan attended the Police darbar. The IGP also appreciated efforts of DPO Pakpattan Jehan Zaib Nazir Khan for maintaining law and order and controlling crime situation. Later, various delegations of business community, prominent citizens and media representatives met IGP and expressed their grievances and reservations about working of different SHOs and SDPOs in the area. The IGP also visited shrine of Hazrat Baba Fareed-ud-din Ganj Shakar (AR). He offered fateha and laid the floral wreath at the Darbar.
