LAHORE – Punjab University Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran on Tuesday presided over a book launch ceremony of “Suno Pyari Beti” by Razina Alam Khan held at Al-Raazi Hall of Undergraduate Study Centre. PML-N leader Mariam Nawaz was the chief guest while Senator Razina Khan, renowned journalist Arifa Subah Khan, senior faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Mariam Nawaz said no country could progress without women. She stressed men should support women to get stronger and develop self-confidence. She said to educate a woman was to educate the whole society. She said that it was essential to take care of women’s education so that society could be prospering. Dr Kamran in his address said that it was necessary to adopt reading habit to promote education and the students should have to gain knowledge for all aspects of life. He said that an attractive person had abilities of lively heart, good nature and honesty in himself. He congratulated the author to highlight the women’s issues in the book.
