The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president Yasin Azad has said that democracy could be derailed in the country if the judiciary and parliament did not work within their constitutional ambits. Talking to media persons here on Thursday, he said that the democracy in the country was restored after the struggle of political parties, lawyers and people and now the country would suffer a lot if democracy was again derailed. “We are with law and constitution and not with an individual and with any political party but our demands that judiciary and the parliament should remain within their constitutional limits,” the SCBA president said. He said that the situation in the country was deteriorated whenever any institution crossed its constitutional limits. He said that conflict between judiciary and the government would increase in case of further delay in writing the letter to Swiss authorities and there is no other option with the government except writing the letter.
