Shahbaz puts off scheduled plans

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif postponed various schedules for Saturday due to the sad demise.
The CM visited the residence of Dr Majid Nizami to condole with his family members. He also shouldered the funeral and offered Nimaz-e-Janaza at the Bagh-e-Jinnah. After the burial of Nizami in Miani Sahib Graveyard, Shahbaz laid  wreath on the grave and prayged for the departed soul. The CM moved to tears on a number of times while mentioning late Dr Majid Nizami, and said that Nizami was like a kind elderly person to him.
Khattak’s message:  KP CM Pervez Khattak said Nizami’s  contribution to  journalism would be remembered. He sudden death of the veteran journalist is a great loss that created vacuum in the country and media which cannot be filled for a long time.
Mehtab’s message: KP Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan said Nizami was a man of vision and courage. The governor said the tragic news about passing away of a legendary figure of the field of Journalism has greatly shocked him. "I fully share my grief with the bereaved family," he added.
Qaim’s message: Sindh CM said Dr Nizami was an institution in himself. He said  the services of deceased would be remembered for a long time. He said Nizami was a torchbearer for patriotic people and journalists. PPP Sindh Information Secretary Waqar Mehdi also paid tribute to the late journalist.
Ebad’s message: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad said the late journalist was an outspoken champion of the Pakistan Ideology and Two-Nation Theory, adding that and his services for democracy and freedom of Press in Pakistan would never be forgotten. He also lauded the outstanding contributions of Nizami to raise voice for Kashmir cause, peaceful solution of Palestinian and Bosnian conflicts as well as positive role in the nuclear tests.
