LAHORE - PML-Q chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab President, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have stated that the Federal government has miserably failed in tackling the vital issue of IDPs of North Waziristan. They made this claim while addressing a party meeting held here on Thursday at their residence with Chaudhry Shujaat in the chair. Shujaat and Pervaiz said that the Federal government neither made foolproof security arrangements across the country before launching military action nor taken the provinces into confidence on the issue. They said that PML-Q would not leave the IDPs alone in this difficult time. The meeting decided that the party would set up relief camps in all the districts of Punjab for the IDPs. While the relief goods would be handed over to the relief camps of the Pak Army in order for its just distribution to the IDPs, he said.PML-Q chief on this occasion has appointed party’s Vice President, Ajmal Wazir as coordinator for the relief activities of North Waziristan IDPs.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
