LAHORE - A tenant shot dead the house-owner and his brother over some monetary dispute in Ravi Road on Thursday, police said. The bodies were moved to the morgue for autopsy while the killer is at large.
Police investigators said that Rauf and his brother Shahid visited the house of Shahbaz to collect the house rent. The renter exchanged harsh words with both the brothers, took out gun, and opened straight fire at them.
Rauf and Shahid sustained multiple bullet wounds and were rushed to a hospital, where they were pronounced as brought dead. The police later reached the spot and removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy. The police have registered the double-murder case and are investigating.
A police official at the Ravi Road police station said that the investigators were conducting raids to arrest the killer. However, no arrest was made till Thursday night.
Shot dead: A 17-year-old schoolboy was shot dead in Liaqatabad, police said on Thursday. Police investigators said that Muneeb, student of 10th class, was gunned down by Awais and Ashraf in front of his house located at Ayyub Road. The complainant told the police that Awais and Ashraf exchanged harsh words with Muneeb and then opened fire on him. The gunmen fled away from the crime scene.
Muneeb was rushed to a hospital, where he expired later. Police said that the elder brother of the deceased had got registered a criminal case against the killers. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Further investigation was underway.
