All is well with PML-Q: Wattoo

LAHORE-The PPP’s central Punjab President Mian Manzoor Wattoo on Tuesday expressed the hope that seat adjustment issue with the PML-Q would be sorted out in a meeting of senior party leaders on Wednesday (today).
Addressing a news conference at party’s Punjab
Secretariat, Model Town, Wattoo said that PPP’s relations with PML-Q were going fine and difference of opinion could be resolved through talks.
He said a meeting with PML-Q leaders was scheduled to be held on Tuesday but the same has been postponed till Wednesday (today).
The PPP leader further stated that both the parties would field consensus candidates in constituencies which fell vacant due to switching over of loyalties by some PPP and PML-Q politicians in the recent past.
Replying to a question, he said that Ch Ahmad Mukhtar would be PPP candidate from NA-105 as per the seat adjustment formula.
He said that during the last four days Punjab parliamentary board had interviewed each person individually from 60 divisions of central Punjab for awarding party tickets. “Tickets would be awarded purely on merit keeping in view the position of a person in the constituency and his or her loyalties with the party”, he observed.
