LAHORE  - Virtual University of Pakistan organised a walk to observe environmental protection, aimed at creating awareness to protect the environment and to promote an environment to live a better life.
Students and faculty members participated in walk, holding placards inscribed with different slogans about environmental protection issues.
The participants urged for launching awareness campaigns at grass root level to mobilize people’s participation for preservation and conservation of environment.
Besides a group discussion lecture was arranged on environment, wherein students of VU’s environmental society participated and expressed views about burning issues.
Akmal Rahim Syed, chief conservative forest from Forest Department Punjab briefed the participants regarding the promotion of environmental awareness among all sections of the society.
