LAHORE - Pakistan Railways Police (PRP) has detected 623 passengers while traveling without tickets in different divisions of the railways during the week. The passengers were charged more than Rs. 3lacs in the shape of fare and fine, said the PRP spokesperson. As per details, 95 passengers were detected in Peshawar division, 76 in Rawalpindi division, 111 in Lahore division, 83 in Multan division, 115 in Sukkur division, 66 in Karachi division and 77 in Quetta division. PRP IG Syed Ibne Hussain issued directions to all SPs for taking strict actions if any PRP employee involved in facilitating ticket-less passengers.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
