Three dacoits killed in police encounter

LAHORE - Three most-wanted criminals were killed during shoot out in district Khanewal on early Thursday, a police spokesperson said.
According to an official handout issued from the Punjab Central Police Office (CPO), the gangsters were included in the list of Top-10 criminals and they were wanted to the police in many cases of heinous crimes. The criminals gunned down during an armed encounter with the police were identified as Allah Bukhsh alias Bukhshi, Mansab alias Lori, and Bahawal Sher.
District Police Officer Khanewal Jahanzaib Khan Nazir said that the police also recovered automatic weapons including one Kalashnikov, two rifles, a pistol, and bullets from their possession.
Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera has appreciated the district police for eliminating the hardened criminals, who had become a symbol of terror in different districts of the province including Okara, Sahiwal, Vehari, Toba Tek Singh, and Jhang, and Pakpattan.
