PTI demands resignation from govt

LAHORE - PTI Punjab organiser Chaudhary Sarwar asked the PML-N government to resign immediately as it had lost the right to hold the authority after brutal killing of lawyers in Daska.
He was addressing a protest demonstration against the Daska incident outside the Lahore Press Club on Tuesday. The PTI Punjab chapter organised the protest in support of lawyers. PTI leaders Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Aleem Khan and a big number of party workers participated.
The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the brutal killing of the lawyers by the Punjab Police. Chaudhary Sarwar strongly condemned the police action and termed it as inhuman. He said that it was unfortunate that there was no law and order in Punjab and the people of the province were facing PML-N government based "Gullu Cracy". He said that PML-N failed to change the traditional police Thana culture and masses should not expect any goodness from the government.
He said that government formed inquiry committee or commission just to befool the masses as it led to giving clean chit to the culprits. He said that it was irony that police took charge to kill innocent people instead of protecting their life and properties. He alleged that recruitment in police were being done not on the basis of merit but on the recommendations by PML-N MNAs and MPAs. He said that PTI changed the police culture in KP and ensured merit from the rank of constable to the IG.
Chaudhary Sarwar said that government failed to provide justice to the families of the victims of the Model Town incident and PTI worker Haq Nawaz in Faisalabad. He said that police action is clear example of state terrorism on the lawyers’ community and police officers proved themselves as employees of the PML-N not the public servants.
