LAHORE TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nawa-i-Waqt Group Managing Director Majid Nizami has assured Ambassador of Iraq in Pakistan, Dr Rushdi Al-Ani that he (Nizami) would talk to the Punjab government to improve ties with Baghdad and to impart training to its people to export manpower to Iraq for its rehabilitation. He expressed these views when Dr Rushdi called on him in his office on Saturday. Nawa-i-Waqt Group Deputy Managing Director Rameeza Majid Nizami was also present on this occasion. Majid Nizami said that Pakistan was full of resources and skilled manpower. Dr Rushdi said that his country was going to start rehabilitation work in affected areas and she wanted wide cooperation from Pakistan in this regard. He said that peoples from other countries were serving in Iraq in different fields but Iraqi government wanted to import manpower from Pakistan. He was of the view that Punjab was rich in all sort of manpower and he would also meet Chief Minister Punjab in this regard. Iraqi Ambassador said that Iraq was ready to provide Pakistan cheaper oil and LPG and to import rice from it and said we are looking towards Pakistan government in this connection. He said, though Pakistan and Iraq were geographically two different countries but religiously, culturally and historically both the countries were interlinked.
