CM aims high at development

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has once again assured the masses that special attention has been paid to the progress and development projects which would strengthen the provincial economy under Annual Development Programme (ADP).
Addressing a meeting regarding Annual Development Programme 2014-15 on Wednesday, the chief minister said that his government was taking solid measures to achieve the targets of growth rate during next four years. He informed that the concerned authorities had been directed to complete the projects strictly within the stipulated time.
“Under ADP for the year 2014-15, priorities have been set on realistic basis for strengthening provincial economy and efforts are being made in this direction,” he affirmed.
The Planning and Development chairman also informed the chief minister about pace of work on development projects. Expressing his satisfaction over the ADP’s performance, Shahbaz Sharif vowed to ensure speedy and transparent completion of the development projects.
He added a strict policy of third party audit was being implemented for these projects. Also the special measures have been taken under ADP for raising the living standard of deprived segments of the society, he continued.
The CM also warned all the departments of his intolerance towards any delay in the execution of the development. He said that no effort be spared for achieving the targets fixed, directing them to implement the strategies that would provide job opportunities to the youth.
