OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Unidentified gunmen shot dead a property dealer and wounded his father at the doorstep here in Shalimar area, police said on Wednesday. The killers fled away from the crime scene within no time. Police investigators said that two motorcyclists appeared outside the residence of Khalid Baig situated in Atif Park in the limits of Shalimar police. They knocked the doorbell and asked the family that they wanted to see, Waqas Baig, property dealer and 25-year-old son of Khalid Baig. The gunmen, yet to be identified so far, opened straight fire on Waqas Baig and also shot at and wounded his father Khalid Baig as he rushed to rescue his son. Both the man and his son sustained bullet wounds and were rushed to a local hospital, where Waqas Baig died later. The condition of his father was also stated to be critical.
