LAHORE - A man yesterday ended his life by jumping into the River Ravi near Shahdara, police and rescue workers said. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

An eyewitness told the police that a man reached the Ravi Bridge on foot and then he jumped into the river.

The man was pulled out from the river waters by some locals. The, he was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced as brought dead. The police were investigating the incident.

TEEN STABBED TO DEATH

A 19-year-old boy expired at a local hospital just a few hours after he was admitted there with multiple stabs on his body. Police were yet to ascertain the identity of the victim. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

According to police, unidentified men brought the wounded to a hospital. They fled instantly after the boy was admitted to a hospital ward. Later, the teen succumbed to wounds.

Investigators say they believe the youth was stabbed by unidentified killers. The police were investigating the killing with no arrest made yet.
