LAHORE – A 72-year-old man was clubbed to death in a street fight, which erupted after some children begun fighting while they were playing in the ground in the Shahdara area, police said on Thursday.
Malik Zohaib and Malik Nasir along with their six accomplices attacked the house of Bashir, following the children of Bashir clashed with the kids of Malik group.
As Bashir Ahmed offered resistance when the attackers tortured his children, they also brutally assaulted him with iron rods and wooden clubs. As a result, Bashir sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The police have removed the dead body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made so far.
A murder case has also been registered against eight men, who attacked the house and killed the old man. The attackers are said to be influential.
