LAHORE - PTI Punjab will hold first meeting of its Provincial Council on March 2, while party Chairman, Imran Khan will chair the final round of the moot, says Ijaz Chaudhry, PTI Punjab President. He said this while addressing a Press conference at party office alongwith provincial General Secretary, Dr Yasmin Rashid on Thursday. He said that the Punjab Opposition Leader, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed would present a report concerning his performance in the Provincial Assembly. Though, Mehmood is affiliated with the PTI but the Opposition parties expect that he should share performance matters with them being the Opposition leader in the Provincial Assembly instead of the party, he said. He stated that PTI being the real democratic party held intra-party polls and now it was going to hold assembly of the biggest consultative body under the name of Provincial Council. Ijaz said that 600 members of the Provincial Council from across Punjab would participate in the decision making of the political future of the province. He said that the Provincial Council would also act as an information and communication source between the public and the PTI leadership. This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
