Lahore: Renowned TV anchor and editor Raza Rumi’s car was fired at tonight near Raja Market, a private TV channel reported. The driver couldn’t survive, after reaching the hospital severely wounded and critically injured, while Rumi is fortunately safe. At 8:55 pm tonight Raza Rumi tweeted:
Was fired at near Raja Market. My driver is wounded. I was dreading this day

While messages of support have poured in for Raza Rumi, the gravity of the situation regarding the security of the journalists has become clear.
