Bishop calls for respect of all religions

LAHORE - Christians of Pakistan wished their Muslim brethren a very happy Eidul Azha, which is a religious festival that promotes love and social harmony.
Bishop of Lahore (Emeritus) Rt Rev Dr Alexander John Malik, on the occasion of Eidul Azha, called for mutual respect of religions between Christians and Muslims. “When we show respect for the religion of our neighbours or when we wish them Eid we are sharing their joy. Pakistan is a victim of terrorism and sectarianism.
“It is high time we promote religious harmony in the country. We are all Pakistanis and we should promote patriotism. We should never ridicule or pass derogatory remarks against others faiths or convictions.”
