LAHORE - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar has ordered immediate suspension of four police officials as well as holding departmental inquiries against them. He issued these orders during the course of listening the complaints of citizens in the open courts held at Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh Districts here on Wednesday. District Police Officer Chiniot Fayyaz Ahmed Sumbal, District Police Officer Toba Tek Singh Rana Ahmed Hassan and other local police officers were also present on this occasion. A citizen of Toba Tek Singh levelled allegations of non-registration of case and corruption against SHO city Inspector Mohammad Akram and Sub Inspector Mohammad Sabir Ali. The IGP ordered the suspension of above-mentioned SHO and Sub Inspector and initiating departmental inquiry against them. Likewise, a citizen from Chiniot levelled the charges of corruption and misbehaviour against Sub Inspector Police Station Bhawana Mohammad Arshad. On which, Tariq Saleem Dogar ordered suspension of above mentioned Sub Inspector as well as conducting inquiry against him. Similarly, another citizen of District Chiniot in his application levelled the charges of corruption and misconduct against ASI Mohammad Ayub of PS Chanab Nagar. The IGP ordered immediate suspension of said ASI. He ordered DPO Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh for conducting inquiries on merit, into the applications received in the open courts and directed them for ensuring strict disciplinary action against the police officials found guilty in this regard. The IG also ordered the recruitment of the sons of such police personnel who died or martyred during the line of their duties. The local notables lauded the performance of SHO PS Sadar Chiniot, SHO PS Laalian, SHO PS Bharana, SHO PS Sadar Gojra, ASI Amjad Kalayaar and ASI Munazir Ali. The IGP announced cash reward and commendatory certificates for the said police officials.
