Ramazan (De)light Offer

LAHORE - The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has made all the arrangements to provide uninterrupted power supply to its consumers during Sehr and Iftar in the holy month of Ramazan.
In a statement on Saturday, the Lesco spokesperson said that the company’s senior officers would remain present at Sehr and Iftar in offices to entertain the complaints.
The consumers are asked to contact complaint offices, in case of any interruption in electricity supply.
An official of the Water and Power Ministry said that all the power distribution companies (Discos) had been directed to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to rural and urban consumers during Sehr and Iftar.
Meanwhile, the NTDCL stated that electricity generation was standing at 13900MW against the countrywide demand of 17700MW. The shortfall was 3800MW, added the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited spokesperson.
 The hydel generation on Saturday was 5480MW, while the thermal power plants and IPPs shared 2050MW and 6370MW with the energy basket respectively. The Lesco is conducting 8-10 hours load shedding in Lahore and 12-hour in rural areas while average 12-hour shutdown continues all over the country.
