LAHORE- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz in a message on a social networking website thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sending a shawl as gift for her grandmother.
Maryam tweeted: "Thank you very much Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the beautiful shawl for my grandmother. My father personally delivered it to her."
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with his Indian counterpart on Tuesday during which Modi gifted a shawl for Nawaz's mother.
Earlier, Modi had taken to Twitter and tweeted that Nawaz Sharif told him that he and his mother got very emotional after seeing the visuals of Modi's mother offering her son sweets.
"The visuals touched both Nawaz Sharif ji & his mother. He told me that after seeing the visuals his mother got very emotional.
Nawaz Sharif ji told me that he stays in Islamabad but goes to meet his Mother once in a week," Modi tweeted.
