LAHORE - The three-day 426th urs of Madhu Lal Hussain started on Saturday, amid elaborate security arrangements to avoid any uintoward incident. Provincial Minister for Aukaf Atta Muhammad Manika performed the ritual of changing the sheet covering the tomb. The urs, also known as Mela Charagan, will conclude on Monday. A number of food stalls have been set up to facilitate devotees pouring in huge number from every nook and corner of the country. Swings, a merry-go-round and such items have been installed near the shrine for children. Mela Charagan got its name from the large fire, Alao, at the shrine where people throw candles, oils and mud lamps (charagh) after making wishes.
