LAHORE - PR - The minorities must be given equal rights and opportunities which is imperative to evolve a modern progressive Pakistan as it was envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
These views were expressed by Peace and Develop Foundation Executive Director Romana Bashir during a press conference on Friday. Representatives of various minorities groups including Lok Vihar Development Organization Nankana Sahib Programme Director Gurmeet Singh and Punjab National Peace Committee Vice Chairman Khalid Shazad, SAP Pakistan Deputy Director Irfan Mufti and Muslim Christian Federation International Chairman Abdul Qadeer Khamosh were also present on the occasion.
Romana Bashir said that keeping in view various issues were being faced by minorities in Pakistan, a charter of demands is being presented to authorities by the minorities.
