LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Sunday proceeded on a hectic five-day visit to Britain which is vital for promoting bilateral relations between the two countries and luring in investment in the Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister will hold different meetings with British authorities, address forums with a view to seek cooperation from Britain in the education, health, skill-development and other sectors.
Shahbaz Sharif will hold meetings with British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and the Commonwealth and British Home Secretary, besides meeting Secretary of State and Minister of State for International Development, British Minister for Trade and Investment and Advisor on National Security Council.
CM Shahbaz Sharif will also address UK-Pakistan Energy and Infrastructure Conference. He will hold meetings with senior British authorities, Chief Executive of British Council and heads of other important institutions.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) would also be signed between Punjab government and British Council for increasing cooperation. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will address all parties Parliamentary Group of Members British Parliament regarding Pakistan. He will also meet British authorities at the University of London (UoL) regarding Knowledge Park and Higher Education.
