LAHORE - A father of three yesterday was stabbed to death by his relatives over property dispute in Sabzazar police precincts. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.
Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Hafiz Maqsood Sarwar, a resident of Awan Town.
The family told the police that Noor Muhammad alias Raju exchanged harsh words with Maqsood over property dispute. Later, he along with his accomplices repeatedly stabbed Maqsood, who died on the spot. The attackers fled instantly.
The police filed a murder case under section 302 of the PPC against the killers on the complaint of Muhammad Sarwar, father of the victim. No arrest was made till late yesterday night. Further investigations were underway.
HEADLESS BODY DISCOVERED
City police yesterday discovered a headless body, packed in a shopping bag, from Bhati Gate police area. The body, unidentified so far, was ,moved to the morgue.
A police official said the victim appeared to be as young as 25-year-old. Some passersby spotted a blue colour shopping on the Circular Road and contacted the police by phone.
Investigators say they believe unidentified killers slaughtered the youth somewhere but fled after throwing the lower part of the body alongside a road. The police registered a murder case against unidentified killers and launched the probe to solve the blind murder mystery.
MAN FOUND DEAD
A 45-year-old man was found tortured to death in an empty plot in Defense-C police area yesterday.
The body, yet to identified, was moved to the morgue for autopsy. The police were investigating the killing.
