Dasti’s eligibility challenged in LHC

LAHORE - A writ has been filed in the Lahore High Court challenging eligibility of member National Assembly Jamshed Dasti. Farooq Ahmad, a voter from NA-178, filed the petition, submitting the Supreme Court had already declared him as disqualified.
He said the returning officer ignored this fact and subsequently Dasti became successful member of the lower house of parliament. The petitioner said Dasti did not qualify under Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution. He prayed the court to disqualify Dasti as member of the parliament.
