LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday stressed the need for promoting public awareness against wasting water and directed concerned institutions to play their role in this regard.The CM was presiding over a meeting to review pace of work on supply of potable water project in the province including Lahore. The Chief Minister said that the government is spending Rs 10 billion during current year on potable water project. He said that safe drinking water can be provided to masses by improving water supply management and the institutions concerned should provide best services to citizens. He said that keeping in view future needs, a comprehensive strategy should be evolved for the supply of potable water to people of the province.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
