Nurses too need laptops

LAHORE - Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Anjum Habib Vohra has said that nurses manifest the spirit of sacrifice, serving to ailing humanity, hope and recovery form diseases.
Addressing a ceremony at Lahore General Hospital on Friday, the PGMI principal urged Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to include nursing students in the distribution of laptop scheme to enable them fulfill the requirements of modern times.
LGH Nursing School Principal Raeesa Ishtiaq, LGH Medical Superintendent Dr Saeed Soban, Nursing Superintendent Razia Bano, nursing staff and students attended the ceremony.
Prof Vohra expressed the hope that nurses would serve with more sense of responsibility and confidence in future. He also commended students and school administration for producing 100 per cent results in the examinations. He said that the CM had recently announced to upgrade all the nursing schools to college and regularisation of staff nurses.
“These decisions have given this profession more prestige and honour and now even high school qualified students feel proud to join nursing,” Vohra stated.
He also announced to hold a function in the honour of position holder nurse students in February, wherein they would be given cash prizes and commendatory certificates.
