LAHORE - At least six more traffic wardens were dismissed on various charges in different sectors on Friday in the City. According to an official communiqu, SSP Traffic (Operations) Captain Mobin dismissed six wardens including Mubashir Hussain, Imran Tariq Butt, Farhan Shariq, Iftikhar Ahmad, Rizwan Ahmad and Ayaz Ahmed on the pretext of various grounds. SSP has also initiated a punitive action against 40 traffic wardens on different charges including deliberate absence and showing negligence during duty hours. Minhaj Welfare starts relief work Minhaj Welfare Foundation has launched its relief and rehabilitation operations to help the flood affectees who are stranded in water following massive downpour that hit parts of Punjab, Khyber PK and Balochistan. A special fund with the initiation amount of Rs 5 million has been established in that regard. The Working Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran, which met in an emergency session with Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz in the chair to evaluate the flood situation, decided its establishment. The meeting was attended by GM Malik, Rana Fayyaz Ahmad, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Rana Farooq Mahmood, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Jawad Hamid, Javed Iqbal Qadri, Sahif-ur-Rehman Saad, Haji Ilyas and Haji Manzoor.
