DASKA - The buildings of as many as 21 different government schools are fully or partially occupied by the local land mafia backed by the politicians in various urban and rural parts of the area for the last several decades. This situation is the clear proof of prolonged failure of the officials concerned who failed to take action against accused. Official record of the Sialkot education department revealed that the building of Govt Girls Primary School Nandpur East-Daska was fully occupied by the local influential since 2005, the building of Govt Girls Primary School Kamlay Bhaag-Pasrur have been under possession since 2002, the building of Govt Girls Primary School Chak Sadaavey-Sialkot was fully occupied in 1985, while the building of Govt Girls Primary School Jandwala-Daska have been under possession for the last one decade and the local people have converted this school building into a cattle shed. The official record further stated that the building of Govt Primary School Mattekey-Pasrur was partially occupied by the local influential since 2000, the building of Govt Public High School Ghartal-Daska has been under possession since 1972, the building of Govt Primary School Kot Ghuman-Daska has been partially occupied for the last nine months, the building of Govt Primary School Dugri-Satrah, Daska tehsil has been partially occupied since 2005, the building of Govt Girls Primary School Karanwali-Sambrial has been occupied since 1969, the building of Govt Girls Primary School Dugri Muslim-Daska was occupied in 1993, the buildings of Govt Girls Elementary School Jassoraan-Pasrur, Govt Girls Elementary School Bhulair Bajwa-Pasrur, Govt Primary School Arki-Pasrur, Govt Girls Primary School Arki-Pasrur, Govt Girls Primary School Amin Shah-Pasrur, Govt Primary School Ranekey Nagra-Badiana, Pasrur tehsil, Govt Girls Primary School Kot Kuba-Pasrur, Govt Arabic High School Sialkot(under the nose of Tehsil Municipal Administration), Govt Girls High School Kharotta Syedaan-Sialkot and Govt Girls Primary School Gorian-Uggoki, Sialkot tehsil, were under possession of influential since 2000, three decades, 1980, 1979, 1978,2000, 1986,1987, 1992 and 1987 respectively. Meanwhile, the Sialkot monitoring team has also inspected these illegally occupied government school buildings and sent a report to the rulers for further action but nothing has been done so far. Official record revealed that the classes of as many as seven different schools were being held at the nearby graveyards situated in various rural parts of the district. When contacted, the Sialkot based officials concerned averted to give any comment.
