LAHORE - Citizens, reaching the NADRA office at Bastami Chowk, Samanabad, are facing huge troubles due to construction work underway in the area.

Besides that, people approaching the NADRA office for their National Identity Cards have also been facing parking issues.

Muhammad Nizam, resident of Samanabad, said the government is being very unwise in its decisions. “It is beyond understanding when the city administration digs out the roads every year. They should come up with alternative routes and provide facilities to citizens keeping in view the important government institution buildings like NADRA and PTCL,” he added.

Kaleem Hafeez, another resident of same area who went with his wheelchair-bound mother to the Nadra registration office, had to go through bumpy ride to the office.

He said as there were no arrangements made for the people with physical challenges, he found himself hapless but to push the wheelchair throughout the way to reach the NADRA office.

There has been no parking facility for the citizens at the NADRA office. People park their bikes and cars on the main road which causes blockage of the main road. Sameer Hussain, who parked his bike on the main road, said: “You tell me where I am supposed to park my bike. The government should have arranged some parking space for the visitors,” he said.
