Ex-secretary’s half-an-hour costs careers!

LAHORE – As many as 400 senior doctors are facing hurdles in their promotion because former Health Secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad could not spare time to write their annual confidential reports (ACRs).
“Fearing victimisation, we are avoiding protest and are looking for an amicable solution to the problem”, a senior doctor said on condition of anonymity. He stressed on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to look into the matter and resolve the dispute regarding completion of their ACRs. “Just half an hour of Fawad could solve the problem of 400 senior doctors,” he added.
YDA Punjab President Dr Hamid Butt said that the lack of a proper system in the Health Department was creating problems for the medical community. He also alleged that officers were teasing doctors through different means to extract money.
