Breaking stereotypes

Stereotypes are found almost everywhere in the society and can be about anyone. The judgments we make about people, events or places are based on our own direct impressions.
The most common type of stereotype prevailing in our society is educational stereotype. High school and colleges are the places where gender roles and stereotypes, in academics, begin to become strikingly obvious. In high school, most of the curriculum is organized according to the individual interests. The society in which we are living has been found to be very conservative about this dilemma. For females in the society it has been made compulsion that they have to become a doctor or a teacher in future and if there is a boy then he has to pursue his career in an engineering field later.
Unfortunately, if an individual has a different outlook than their parents, their dreams are shattered ruthlessly. It is considered as an utter shame if your child is studying in an arts school or getting a law degree. The so called liberal parents only think about their self esteem before their children. What kind of modernism do they depict? The major issue is that we live to be distinctive and strive to fit in at the same time.
Every profession has its own dignity and is respectable in its own unique manner. Either its fashion designing, law, teaching, nursing, modeling or any other field and it must not be disregarded. An individual concerns and interests should be considered and they must be given a liberty to make their own decision. The parents must be open-minded about their children choice. There should not be any communication gap between a child and parents, a child must feel free to share anything anytime with his parents.
Steps should be taken to eradicate this evil from the society. Let’s hope for the better.
